Chickmaglur is the central place for malaenadu region and Somawarpete in Notrth Kodagu, Sakaleshapura, Mudigere, western ghats in Uttar Kannada District. These places under Malenadu region, some peoples believes Malenagu cuisine is the combination of coorg cuisine and Mangalorean cuisine.
