Abbey falls is major fall in
Coorg District of Karnataka state. This about 8 km from Madikeri Town. Abbey falls plunging down with enormous speed in the monsoon. Abbey falls creates by Kutuhole (small river flowing from galibeedu) and several streams combined, from here this water flows into Kaveri river. Abbey falls situated in the Western Ghats. This fall flows high during the monsoon season (May to September). In the hot seasom it flows averagely. Abbey Falls is 8 km from Madikeri, 250 km form Bangalore, 140 km from Mangalore, 120 km from Mysore. The Road will end in Abbey falls and is constructed only to reach abbey falls.
