South Karnataka is districts of Kolara, Bengalore, Mysore, Tumkur, Mandya, Haasana, Mandyaa. South Karnataka dishes are very popular and tourists like to taste it. Rice is the favourite and most using food in South Karnataka. People having Rice with Saaru, Happala, Pickle, Palya, Gojju, Chutney on plantain leaf. Plantain leaf is the traditional eating style and it’s very beautiful. Kayi Chutney (grated coconut, dried red chillies salt, oil-fried mustard, curry leaves). Palyas which is making by vegetables is the best and tasty food, some of the playas are Hurali kaayi playa, Hurali playa, Hurali appala, Badnekaayi playa, Bendekaayi playa, Allugade playa.

Rice Dishes are very famous and using it for daily lunch and dinner in south Karnataka.
