North Karnataka Cuisine

North Karnataka means northern part districts of Karnataka including Bidar, Kalburgi, Vijapura, Bagalakote,Belagaavi, Raayachooru, Dharwad, Gadag, javeri. Neighboring states of Maharastra, Andhra Pradesh also like Northern cuisine. North Karnataka is famous for rotti, several kinds of like olada rotti, safe peet, khadak rotti and sajja rotti. Badane Gujju, Enne gai are the main items making by Eggplant bulbs. Butter milk is famous cool drinks to local peoples calling Mosaru or Majjige. Chatni, rice, saru, happala are the other variety of foods in North Karnataka.

Puliyogare also one of the popular dish in Karnataka. North Indians using this type of food commonly. Bisibelebath is the favourite food which eating for the breakfast, is very tasty and hot to eat. Other North Karnataka cuisines are dharwada peda, Shenga Holige, Yellu Holige, Soppina saru, Chitrana, hoornada holige. Pappad is like snaks making by rice and wheat powders with some masala items.
