Irupu Falls (also called as Irppu, Iruppu) situated in Virajpet Taluku of Coorg District, Karnataka. Irupu falls located on the Brahmagiri ranges. This falls also called by the local people as Lakshmana Tirtha Falls. This Falls creates from Lakshmana Tirtha River. the Rameshwara Temple also situated in the bank of Lakshmana Tirtha River which is on the way to Irupu Falls. Irupu falling form the height of 170 ft with 2 Drops. This falls is the fresh water with beautiful nature between rocks around this falls, in the rainy season this falls falling heavy and is the best time to see this falls (best time is June to September).
How to reach Irupu Falls
Irupu falls reachable by road only, Private vehicles available to get there. There is no more walk to see this falls. This falls 80 km from Madikeri, 48 km from Virajpet, 300 km from Bangalore, 160 km from Mysore and 200 km from Mangalore.
Where to Stay
Virajpet and Gonikoppa is the near town to this falls. Guest houses, hotels, home stays are situated in these towns and many of the coffee planters started home stays in their own coffee estate. Many Resorts also situated in the beautiful Coffee Plantation around Virajpet Taluku with great services.
