Bhagamandala Tourisim, Coorg

Bhagamandala is the Historical holy place situated in 32 km from Madikeri in Coorg. This place located at the confluence of three rovers, the Kaveri, Kanika and Sujyothi (believed join from underground where two rivers meets).It is the common tradition for pilgrims to conduct dip in the Triveni Sangam (where the 3 rivers meets) and take rituals to their ancestors before visiting Talakaveri. Talakaveri is the start up Kaveri river. sri bhagandeshwara temple is the famous and main temple in Bhagamandala, Ishwara(Bhagandeshwara), Mahavishnu, Subramanya and Ganapati idols installed in this temple. This temple built in kerala style in large space. This place also called as Bhandeshwara Kshetra.

During the period of “Tula Sankramana” or “Kaveri Sankramana” or “Bhagamandala Jathra” (October 17th and 18th), thousands of piligrims assemble in Bhagamandala. Once Tipu occupied this pace in 1785-1790, after 1790 King Dodda Vira Rajendra took under control of Bhagamangala in the Kodagu Kingdom.

How to reach Bhagamandala:
Bhagamandala is just 32 km ride from Madikeri which is center of Coorg, connected by well road. Government and Private Buses providing transportation services to Bhagamandala and Talakaveri, for every 30 minutes there is facility of buses. Kerala also border to this place, so kerala also accessible easily.
