Maida Halwa Recipes

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Maida
  • 2 Cups water
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • ½ Cup Ghee 2 Nos finely powdered cardamom
  • 1 pinch red or green colour
  • A few Cashews and Raisins
Method:
  1. Dissolve maida in water and mix well so that there are no lumps.
  2. Heat a little ghee in frypan. Add above mixture and stir on low fire to avoid formation of lumps.
  3. When above mixture is glassy, add sugar, color and a little more ghee. You may now increase heat.
  4. Keep on adding ghee and stir once in 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. When the mixture is lump consistency, add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, raisins and remove.
  6. Pour in greased tray and cut into cubes when cold.
