- 2 Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Toovar Dal
- ¼ Cup Moon Dal
- ¼ Cup Channa Dal
- ¼ Cup Whaet or Jowar
- 2 Cups Sour Curds
- 7 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoons soda-bi-carb
- ½ Lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons mustard seed
- 2 teaspoon sesame seeds
- ½ teaspoon asafetida
- ½Chili Powder to taste
- ½Salt to taste
Method:
- Coarse grind rice, wheat and dals.
- Add sour curds to the ground mixture and let it ferment for 6-8 hrs.
- To the mixture add salt,2 tablespoon oil, chili powder, soda-bi-carb, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.
- In a frypan, put the remaining oil to heat.
- When hot, put sesame seeds, mustard seeds, asafetida and pour the mixture.
- Cover and cook on medium heat.
- When lower portion is brown, turn the handva and again put it in pan and let it cook till brown on both sides.
