Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Rava
- 1 ½ cups water
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 small onion
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 2 teaspoons gram dal
- 1-2 red chilies
- 2 teaspoons butter
- Few curry leaves and mustrard seeds
- Few cashew nuts and raisins
- In a frypan heat the ghee.
- When hot. Put mustard seeds, urad dal, gram dal, cashew nuts, raisins, red chilies, curry leaves and onion.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes, then add rava, fry till rava turns slightly pinkish.
- In another vessel. Heat water.
- When water starts boiling, add it to the rava mixture, stir constantly and let upma cook.
- After water dries, cover vessel for 2 minutes. Close the gas.
- Just before serving, add butter.
